NEW Petrol pumps across the UK are running dry due to supply issues caused by the Iran war, the boss of Asda warned today. The temporary shortages at some forecourts come as the price of petrol jumped above 150p per litre for the first time in almost two years. Allan Leighton, executive chairman of Asda, said: 'Our fuel volumes are up quite significantly and clearly demand has been outstripping supply.
