I carried a watermelon: Ashley Roberts poses in pink bra top and mini skirt as she reveals she will host The Real Dirty Dancing show alongside Keith Lemon

Ashley Roberts and Keith Lemon have signed up to host a new celebrity dance reality show called The Real Dirty Dancing.

Ashley, 39, shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday as she posed in a pink one-shoulder bra top and matching mini skirts which had embellishments throughout. 

She carried a watermelon in tribute to Jennifer Grey's iconic line in the 1987 movie, which also starred Patrick Swayze - who passed away in 2009 aged 57.

Ashley and Keith, 47,  who have appeared together on Celebrity Juice in the past - are excited to front the upcoming E4 show, which will see 10 celebrities tasked with recreating scenes from the beloved 1987 classic film, with just two of the couples making it to the final where they'll be taught the famous lift.

Keith said: 'Dirty Dancing is such a good film and of course I’ve been Baby myself! Twice now!

'Once for Let’s Dance for Comic Relief and once when we did it on The Keith & Paddy Picture Show.

'So yeah I was chuffed to be asked to host this show! And to be hosting with me mate Ashley! It’s gonna be so fun!

'Ya can tell how excited I am, look how many exclamation marks I’ve used! Can’t wait!' 

The Pussycat Dolls singer added: 'I love Dirty Dancing, the film literally had a huge impact on my life, and I couldn’t be more excited to be involved in this series.

'I’m going to be on hand to help out the celebs with their Johnny and Baby moves and look forward to being reunited with Keith. Wish me luck! It’s going to be a lot of fun.'

The eight-part series - which is inspired by the Australian show of the same name - is set to air in early 2022.

It is not yet known who will be appearing in the upcoming series.

'Dirty Dancing has been bringing people together to sing and dance (and swoon over Johnny Castle) since the 80s.

'We hope, like the film, that this colourful and entertaining show will get people together to watch and root for their favourite couples.'

The Real Dirty Dancing hits E4 in early 2022.
