'I just needed a good cry': Ashley James details her 'first wobble' since becoming a mum as she shares sweet snaps from sunny walk with baby son Alfie and partner Tom Andrews

Ashley James detailed her 'first wobble' since becoming a mother in a candid post shared to Instagram on Sunday.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 33, shared sweet images from her sunny stroll with her two-week-old son Alfie Rivers and partner Tom Andrews after having a 'good cry' due to restrictions brought by the coronavirus pandemic.

DJ Ashley admitted she broke down as she was unable to go on her 'daily walk' on Saturday due to London's rainfall, and also reflected on raising her first child without help from her family amid the nationwide lockdown

Cutting a radiant figure, the new mother was dressed in a grey T-shirt, black joggers and a brown longline coat as she carried her baby boy in a leopard print sling.

The influencer rounded off her appearance with sturdy boots and circular-framed shades, while opting for minimal make-up.

Sharing her experience of parenthood during the global crisis, the TV star said: 'Sunday walks in the sunshine with the little.

'Yesterday I had my first wobble since Alf was born. It probably sounds petty (or maybe you relate?), but it was raining all day and so we couldn't go for our daily walk.

'Getting out the house for a walk is my only reason for leaving the house at the moment, and so the rain taking that away from me hit me way more than it should have. 

'Then I spoke to my mum and just the thought that they can't meet Alf until lockdown ends, just got me. My gran too. They missed my pregnancy, and now they're missing the newborn phase. It's just a bit sad. 

'I think my hormones kicked in, and I just needed a good cry. These are definitely weird times, although I do feel like there's some great pros about giving birth in lockdown too...' (sic)

The media personality explained how she felt better after waking up to sunny weather the following day, adding: 'It was FREEZING, but just to see blue sky was so wonderful. It's definitely the little things at the moment.

'Anyway, I've spent all day having a clear out and tidying (in between feeds). I feel good, and ready to get back into work this week.

'I've loved spending the last few weeks more or less offline, I needed a break, but honestly I've missed you guys (well, not the just you wait crew ). 

'I'm so excited to share my motherhood journey so far - I feel like I've learnt SO much! Both about myself, and as a new mummy. Anyway, I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.'

The couple welcomed their first child on January 9, and recently said giving birth was more difficult than the two marathons she has run.

She told HELLO! magazine: 'I love being a mum. Every day I love him more. Before he came along, I suffered from anxiety, but now I feel calm and content, as if I was made to be a mum.

'I've run two marathons, but giving birth is harder. I was in labour for 18 hours, but Tommy was with me all the way, holding my hand. And when Alfie finally emerged, it was amazing. 

'I used to think that I didn't want children. Now I can't imagine not wanting a baby or being without him.'
