She has dismissed plastic surgery claims after a fan quizzed her over her appearance. 

But Carol Vorderman, 58, looked in high spirits as she showed off her remarkably smooth visage while taking over hosting commitments on Lorraine on Friday. 

The star also had fun with her presenting slot, as she shoved on a pair of blue heart-eye shades to mark Elton John's new BBC show in the evening.

Carol looked sensational as she slipped her famous curves into a crisp white blouse, which was neatly tucked into a pair of high-waisted sequin trousers. 

A shiny black belt put emphasis on her trim midriff and she boosted her height in a pair of towering nude heels. 

Carol made the most of her youthful features with a simple slick of contoured make-up, which complemented her tousled locks. 

It wasn't long before she jazzed things up with a white feather boa  and oversized blue shades to mark Elton's new show.

Her stunning appearance comes after she revealed the secret behind her incredible figure.

Carol had been asked to 'settle an argument' online, with a fan tweeting her to ask whether she'd had plastic surgery.

The fan pleaded: 'Settle an argument for me please Carol ... girls in my office saying you can’t look that good without surgery, my argument is you work out a lot and they’re just well JEL'.

Carol was quick to insist that her fabulous figure was all down to hard work and exercise, responding: 'Lol....I go hiking two or three times a week....but I do have botox...and facials....tell the girls hello from me...'

Meanwhile, Arlene Phillips, 76, was a guest on the show, where she was quizzed by Carol if she would return to Strictly Come Dancing as a judge following Darcey Bussell's departure. 

Arlene revealed: 'I don't think they’ll ask me, so it’s unfair to say if I would or wouldn't. I love Darcy, really respect her.'

She also spoke gushingly of her new granddaughter Lyla, who arrived over the Christmas period.     

Arlene expressed: 'I cannot tell you what it feels like to have a baby in your arms. She's beautiful and sweet. 

'I'm the mother I wanted to be and now I'm watching my child give the love to her baby that I hope I gave her.'
