Katie Holmes, 47, fuels plastic surgery whispers with fresh-faced look... after night out with Joshua Jackson

Katie Holmes left fans doing a double-take as she stepped out in New York on Wednesday, looking absolutely ageless.

At 47, the actress had the streets of the Big Apple buzzing as she flashed her signature megawatt smile, looking like she hadn’t aged a day since her iconic role as Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek.

Dressed casually but chic in a simple white T-shirt that gave a cheeky peek at her toned midriff, paired with a flowing blue skirt trimmed in red, Holmes looked effortlessly radiant, basking in the springtime sunshine.

She kept it cool and comfortable with a pair of sleek black flats and a luxe black tote, but it was her taut visage that really had tongues wagging, hidden only behind a pair of oversized designer sunglasses.

Even her understated beaded necklace seemed to channel a youthful vibe.

The stylish outing came just a day after Holmes had a fun-filled reunion with Dawson’s Creek co-star Joshua Jackson at the screening of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary.

In snaps from the evening, Holmes and Jackson couldn’t contain their joy and laughter, clearly having a ball.

The two stars, who shared plenty of unforgettable moments on-screen during their Dawson’s Creek run from 1998 to 2003, looked every bit the easygoing, longtime friends.

The mother-of-one wowed on the red carpet in an off-the-shoulder white blouse, paired with a sleek black bralette that added just the right touch of edge.

Her look was completed with a shimmering gray maxi skirt that hugged her curves, while a chic black clutch added the perfect accessory.

Her dark brunette hair was styled in soft, flowing curls, parted to the side and cascading effortlessly over her shoulders.

Jackson looked sharp in a deep red suit jacket, paired with classic gray trousers and a crisp white dress shirt.

He completed the ensemble with a sleek black bowtie, adding a touch of sophistication to his look.

The pals even linked arms as they strolled across the red carpet.

The Batman Begins actress recently sparked plastic surgery rumors after showing off her taut face in NYC earlier this week on Monday.

Some fans voiced their thoughts over on Reddit, with one penning, 'How does she look like she is in her 20s? What fountain of youth is she drinking from?'

And another commented, 'Is this 2006? Katie still looks like Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek. Did she get a lift?'

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Kahn has also weighed in on the actress's wrinkle-free appearance.

'She doesn't have any wrinkles on her cheeks which could mean she is using a Microdermabrasion which erases fine lines,' he told the Daily Mail.

'It is a minimally invasive skin resurfacing treatment that gently exfoliates the skin's outermost layer,' he added.

'Microdermabrasion takes away dead cells and creates a new surface and a more even-toned skin. It really erases years off a person's face.'

Kahn also suggested that the Hollywood star could be using hyaluronic acid to help her skin 'look healthy.'

In 2021, Holmes revealed in People’s Most Beautiful Issue that she’s at peace with her appearance, saying, 'I embrace my age with gratitude and I don't worry about not having makeup on.'

Back in 2015, she hinted at some of her skincare secrets.

Speaking to Bustle, she explained how she keeps her skin glowing despite her packed schedule: 'My schedule is pretty busy, so I've learned to do my makeup quickly because I prefer to sleep... I'll wait until the very last minute to wake up and get ready in about 20 minutes.'

Hydration plays a key role in her routine: 'First thing, I drink about a liter of water.'

When it comes to skincare, she’s loyal to a few tried-and-true products.

'I use Olay Regenerist Regenerating Cream Cleanser, and that really helps with the surface of my skin. I do that in the morning and at night, and then I use Olay Active Hydrating Cream to moisturize. I've been using Olay for many, many years...'

Holmes became a household name for her role as Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek.

Set in the fictional town of Capeside, the show focused on the complicated relationships and personal growth of a group of teenagers.

Holmes starred alongside James Van Der Beek (Dawson Leery), Jackson (Pacey Witter), Michelle Williams (Jen Lindley), and Mary-Margaret Humes (Gail Leery).

The show was a major success, drawing in millions of viewers and becoming a cultural touchstone of the late '90s and early 2000s.

Sadly, Van Der Beek died at age 48 on February 11, 2026, following a battle with stage 3 colorectal cancer.
