Hulk Hogan's estranged daughter Brooke makes heartbreaking statement about late father nine months on from his death

The daughter of late wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has shared an emotional tribute to her father nine months on from his tragic death.

Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, passed away from a heart attack at the age of 71 in July of last year.

At the time of his death, Bollea had gone a number of years without speaking to daughter Brooke, 37, who had a fractured relationship with the WWE great.

Despite their rift Brooke was left devastated by his passing, admitting it 'felt like part of my spirit left with him' when he suffered the fatal heart attack last year.

And close to nine months since he was found dead at his five-bedroom mansion in Florida, she has posted a heartbreaking message about her father on Instagram.

Brooke shared a black-and-white illustration of her dad holding her in his arms and wrote as the caption: 'If my love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.'

She also opened up on their relationship in his final years during a recent appearance on HGTV renovation show Rock the Block.

'I got called to do Rock The Block long before my dad passed,' Brooke said while beginning to tear up. 'But obviously, I didn't tell him that I had it because we weren't talking.

'But I told my husband, I was like, "I wonder, I wonder if my dad would be proud knowing that I'm doing this." You know, "I wonder if..."'

'He was the one that told me to get my real estate license,' she added about her late dad.

Hogan left behind nearly $5million in assets for his beneficiaries after his death, but none of that money went to Brooke.

Speaking to TMZ in September, Brooke said she wasn't shocked to be left out of her father's will - because she requested to be.

'His decision is no surprise to me,' she told the outlet. 'It's what I asked for, I stand by it with no regrets.

Brooke added that she's been supporting herself through her own work and has fought through financial troubles in the past.

She also said that money never mattered to her when it came to her relationship with Hulk. Additionally, she admitted that all that mattered to her was that her father's image, trademarks and estate was being handled with care.

Hogan was pronounced dead at a hospital less than 90 minutes after medics arrived at his home in Clearwater to answer a call about a cardiac arrest on the morning of July 24, police said. The report said the cause of death was 'natural.'

He previously had leukemia and atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm, according to a report from the District Six Medical Examiner.

Though despite his previous health issues, Brooke took to social media in the days that followed to seemingly accuse the authorities of foul play.

Brooke shared an article by radio personality and Hogan friend Bubba the Love Sponge, which read: 'Quick cremation without autopsy raises questions about Hulk Hogan's death.' She added the caption: 'Exactly.'

However, the Clearwater Police Department attempted to squash any outlandish theory about Hogan's death by saying: 'As previously stated, there are no signs of foul play or anything suspicious about the death'.
