Summer House's Amanda Batula and West Wilson LOCK LIPS on kiss cam at Yankees game amid romance scandal

Summer House stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson proudly flaunted their controversial relationship to the world at a New York Yankees game on Friday.

The pair were caught on the kiss cam smooching in the stands, with Wilson, 31, leaning over to lock lips with Batula, 34, as shown on the YES Network.

Their romance set off a public furor because Batula used to be best friends with Wilson's recent ex Ciara Miller, while Wilson was also pals with Batula's estranged husband Kyle Cooke, whom she split from in January.

Batula and Wilson initially kept their dalliance a secret before going public last month, igniting a scandal that fans have begun to call 'Scamanda.'

Undeterred, the pair surfaced together at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx this Friday to watch the home team face off against the Kansas City Royals.

Their public display of affection on the kiss cam led to an outpouring of contempt on social media, where observers posted jibes like: 'somehow this is even worse than the coldplay concert,' and: 'It's like watching siblings kiss.'

'My stomach dropped like I’m watching my own ex bf kiss my ex bff,' one fan fulminated as another snapped: 'I sincerely wish the worst for both of them.'

'This just feels plain mean. Who needs enemies when you have friends like these!!!!' one Instagram user exclaimed in reaction to the footage.

The indiscretion came hours after an interview appeared online in which Batula made her feelings clear about Wilson and Batula's relationship.

Miller, 30, spoke about the hurt and betrayal she felt when her ex-boyfriend and former best friend confirmed they had been secretly dating.

'At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy. Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man,' she told Glamour.

'But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that's the craziest part.

'It’s one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors. To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It’s a major mindf***,' she added.

Miller, who has had an ally in Rihanna, revealed she had a feeling something was going on between Wilson and Batula, and Summer House fans were quick to point out the seemingly inappropriate behavior between them as well.

'Just know when something's weird in your gut, there's a reason,' Miller said. 'What's done in the dark always comes to light. And sometimes you really don't even have to do anything except sit back and let the universe handle it all.'

The Atlanta native and the sports writer hit it off in summer of 2023 but it was over six months later, with Miller citing Wilson's refusal to commit 'for show-related reasons' on the season eight reunion.

In January of this year, Batula revealed her split from Summer House co-star Kyle Cooke after four years of marriage and ten years together.

Batula and Wilson made their relationship public in a joint Instagram Stories post on March 31, writing, 'We've seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything.

'Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we need a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.'

The twosome shared they started off as friends and 'what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.

'As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.'

Miller read their announcement when everyone else did, saying, 'There’s something about the lack of being able to say each other’s names in the statement that I found very telling, but I don’t know.'

The statement came just days after Wilson insisted Batula was just his 'homegirl' – 'that’s a friend,' he said – and not a romantic partner on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Miller told Glamour she leaned on Batula the most while navigating her breakup from Wilson. 'I do feel like I was closer to Amanda at that particular time,' she said, adding that Batula 'always felt like a nonjudgmental figure to go to.'

Meanwhile, Miller said that Wilson told her he was done 'sleeping with people on Bravo.'

'Obviously,' she quipped, that was now 'out the window.'

It's looking to be an awkward Summer House reunion, which is set to film later this month.
