OITNB's Natasha Lyonne is worlds away from her dishevelled on-screen character as she shows off her sleek fiery locks at show Q&A

She has starred as quick-witted reformed heroin addict Nicky Nichols in Orange Is The New Black since the series inception in 2013.

And Natasha Lyonne looked completely transformed from her unkempt on-screen character, as she made a sensational arrival at a Q&A in New York.

The actress, 40, opted for a glamorous overhaul as she attended the cast event wearing a sharp powder blue power suit on Tuesday.

Natasha's fitted two-piece suit featured oversized white buttons and chunky lapels on its blazer, which she teamed with a pair of matching tailored trousers.

The star wore her flame-hued tresses in sleek blown out style, which were a far cry from the signature unruly locks she has become known for on-screen. 

She opted for a glamorous coat of make-up, including heavily lined eyes complete with lashings of mascara and a bold pop of red lipstick.

The seventh and final season of OITNB is set to premiere later this year,  and the cast have been hot on the promotional trail ahead of its release.

Revealing her reaction after the show wrapped earlier this year, Natasha said: 'On the last shot, a guttural sound came out of me, like some wounded animal.' 

At the end of last season, Blanca Flores (Laura Gomez) was unwittingly carted off to an immigration detention centre after she was told she was being offered her freedom.

Other devastating blows included Tasha 'Taystee' Jefferson (Danielle Brooks) being found guilty of a murder she didn't commit following the riots in season five.

Meanwhile, the show's lead character Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) was given early release, which has been widely-reported as a nod to racial imbalance in the U.S.

The opening of next season will follow Piper as she attempts to find her way in the outside world after leaving prison, while her fellow inmates - including Nicky - continue to serve their sentences.

In a video pinned to the OITNB official Twitter feed in which cast members spoke about doing the final season of the show, Uzo Aduba, who plays the lovable Suzanne 'Crazy Eyes' Warren said: 'I'm so grateful for the fun times, the knowledge, the friendships, the love, the family that we have created together.' 

Natasha was joined by some of the main cast members at the event, including Taylor who looked lovely in a blue and white belted dress.

Other recognisable faces included Uzo, Dascha Polanco (Dayanara 'Daya' Diaz), Selenis Leyva (Gloria Mendoza), Jessica Pimental (Maria Ruiz), Danielle Brooks (Tastyee), and Adrienne C. Moore (Cindy Hayes).
