Emily Blunt gets into character for the first time on set of Jungle Cruise film based on Disney ride

Emily Blunt got to work on the set of Jungle Cruise on Friday.

It was the first day on the Atlanta, Georgia set for the esteemed British actress.

The film is based on the ride stationed at many of the Disney theme parks around the world.

The studio hopes to replicate the success of of its Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise — also based on a ride — starring Johnny Depp, which went on to spawn five films and $4.5billion in worldwide box office earnings so far.

Emily, 35, appeared to be dressed in character, wearing a white blouse, black heeled boots, a green and purple long skirt, with a matching green cloche hat.

The cameras were not rolling however, as the Brooklyn-born star chatted on her phone between takes.

Details about the film are scant, but what fans do know is Emily will play Lily Houghton, half of a sibling duo, with English comedian Jack Whitehall playing her brother.

The pair contract a riverboat captain named Frank — played by Dwayne The Rock Johnson — to help them on a mission to locate a tree believed to possess healing powers.

All the while, the trio must fight against dangerous wild animals and a competing German expedition.

Édgar Ramírez, Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti also star.

Jungle Cruise is set to sail into theatres on October 11, 2019.
