Nicholas Hoult becomes a dad: Actor 'welcomes his first child with model girlfriend Bryana Holly'... after weeks of pregnancy speculation

Nicholas Hoult has become a father for the first time after 'welcoming his first child' with girlfriend of just over one year Bryana Holly.

The British actor, 28, - who shot to fame as an adorable child star opposite Hugh Grant in About A Boy - and lingerie model Bryana, 24, are said to be delighted, according to People magazine. 

A source told the publication: 'They have kept the news under wraps, but are so happy and excited.' 

The reported birth ends weeks of speculation after Los Angeles based Bryana revealed a prominent bump while out with The X Men: First Class star in March. 

Nicholas is understood to have embarked on a relationship with the model at the beginning of 2017.

The actor famously dated Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, 27, on and off for four years. 

Bryana had previously dated Five Seconds of Summer star Aston Irwin and Brody Jenner, the step-brother of American socialite Kim Kardashian, with whom she regularly featured on Kim's popular fly-on-the-wall reality show. 

The couple dated for several months in 2013 before a dramatic falling out at the annual Playboy Mansion Halloween party.

Bryana now enjoys a comparatively private relationship with Nicholas.

The actor gave a rare insight into his romance with Bryana in November, when asked if she had her own space in his bedroom.

'I don’t feel as though I’m that possessive over things like that,' he told Mr. Porter's The Journal. 

'She can put her stuff wherever she likes. My dad was an air pilot so he was flying a lot, and I grew up with my two sisters and my mum so I was used to ‘girl things’ being around and a ‘girl environment’ in the household.' 

The actor's previous, stop-start relationship with Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence ended in 2014, after four-years. 

Jennifer later reflected on their split during an interview with Diane Sawyer, revealing it happened as they completed filming X Men: Days Of Future Past.  

'I was also in a relationship with somebody for five years and that was my life,' she explained. 'So my life was this person and these movies and we broke up around the same time that I wrapped those movies. 

'Being 24 was this whole year of, "Who am I without these movies? Who am I without this man?"'
