Victoria Beckham looks sensational in strapless black and white bustier and chic trousers as she hits the red carpet for Cannes Film Festival opening night gala premiere

She's in town for one of the highlights of the celeb calendar.

And as the showbiz world decamps to Cannes for the annual world renowned film festival, Victoria Beckham showed off look one of what is sure to be a supremely chic couple of days.

The fashion designer left the Martinez Hotel in a striking monochrome ensemble as she headed to the opening night celebrations on Wednesday evening for a stunning red carpet arrival.

The 42-year-old stood out on the celeb-packed red carpet for the opening night premiere of Woody Allen's star-studded film Cafe Society, by ditching the dress in favour of a chic top and trouser combo from her newly announced collection with Estee Lauder.

The bustier top highlighted her svelte frame, with the strapless cut also flaunting a flash of tanned skin.

The skimpy top also showed off Victoria's faded back tattoo which she's thought to be in the process of getting removed.  

The tight top and loose fit trousers, with statement button detail, fitted Victoria's figure perfectly. 

She drew all the focus to her her chic outfit, pulling her hair up into an effortless but gorgeous do.

She accessorised with just a couple of glitzy bangles, showing them for the cameras with her pro poses.

Thanks to the long cut of her smart trousers, Victoria's classic black heels were nearly hidden, just peeking out underneath.

Her makeup was also looking flawless, with her striking features accentuated with dark smoky eyes and a dash of bronzer. 

Victoria was even turning heads as she left her hotel for the premiere and opening night celebrations, with a crowd of fans seen clicking away on their camera phones.  

Victoria  chose an elegant jet-set ensemble for her grand arrival in Cannes earlier on Wednesday as the star-studded, world renowned film festival kicks off.

The mother of four looked impeccable in a print dress from her own collection as she touched down on the French Riviera in her private jet. 

Victoria, 42, showed off her svelte figure in the chic black number, covered in pretty pops of colour.

The fashion designer added a pair of her signature shades and left her long brunette locks loose.

While she recently confessed that she had given up wearing heels while at home, the star was back in her towering stilettos for the flight.

The star certainly arrived in style, touching down in Cannes in a private jet with her entourage.

The group were whisked to the airport terminal in a private golf buggy, with Victoria seen trying to keep her locks under control during the breezy ride.

Shortly after arriving, the excited former Spice Girl shared an Instagram shot of her balcony view, captioned: 'Bonjour!So excited to be in Cannes X VB'.

Hours earlier Victoria uploaded a glam shot of herself strutting onto her private plane, telling her fans: '#Cannes see u soon! #VBDoverst #VBHongKong X X VB'. 

Victoria is thought to be attending her close friend Eva Longoria's Global Gift Foundation gala in Cannes on Friday night, an A-list event which attracts the best stars in town for the annual film festival. 

It's a busy time for the celebrated designer, who announced this month that she is teaming up with Estée Lauder to create a limited edition make-up collection.

The former Spice Girl already sells bags, sunglasses and clothes through her eponymous range, as well as fragrances with her husband David.
