Peacemaker? Lady Colin Campbell was yet again causing a rumble in the jungle on Thursday night's episode of the ITV show after she reconciled with former nemesis Chris Eubank

Just a day before they were at loggerheads when Chris suggested Lady C should be punished for failing various tasks, to which she responded: 'You’re singing one tune out of the side of your mouth... Chris needs to learn a little humility.'

However the duo were ready to let bygones to bygones when they decided to put their heated rows behind them.

As they prepared themselves for their day, Chris extended an olive branch to Lady C, saying: 'You've taught me more that you will ever know. I'm not complimenting you, I'm thanking you.'

She then responded: 'If you really feel you need a hug I'm happy to give you one' to which Chris seemed pleased as he told the Bush Telegraph: 'Where Lady C is concerned it's very important I stay on good [terms] with her.'

Trouble ahead? Viewers may have breathed a sigh of relief at the conflict resolution, although it was not long before Lady C was making an enemy of another alpha-male in the camp

Viewers may have breathed a sigh of relief at the conflict resolution, although it was not long before Lady C was making an enemy of another alpha-male in the camp.

After she was given the title of camp leader, she had to choose who would head to the next challenge - to square up against new boy Spencer Matthews alongside Jorgie Porter and Brian Friedman.

The royal biographer was trying to opt for the fittest candidates in the camp which made her agonise over footballer Kieron Dyer, Union J singer George Shelley and Chris - although Tony was notably absent from her deliberations.

She said: 'I can choose anyone I like... What's this Spencer like? I think Chris would counter that threat. If it's physical we want our best men... Chris is in better shape than [Tony]... I've seen how both of you exercise!'

A visibly dejected Tony they headed to the Bush Telegraph, saying: 'Then this whole thing unravelled about whose the fittest... I felt like I was being got at.'

After concluding her decisions and sending George, Chris and Kieron to the task, the episode ended with hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly heading into camp.

The beloved Geordie duo were arriving to tell the campmates who the public had voted to head to the opposing, and wholly less glamorous camp, Snake Rock, which was housing Jorgie, Spencer and Brian.

They revealed Lady C had been the most popular choice for exiling and she was sent away, although with her opposition to Bushtucker Trials thus far means it will no doubt be an unhappy departure.

Clearly prepared to be a popular choice yet unhappy over the decision, she uttered: 'I didn't want to do this show for this precise reason because I could see what is going to happen... What's happening now. What do I do?'
