Kristen Stewart shows off her tum in tied top and mini culottes after passionate kiss with Jesse Eisenberg on set of new Woody Allen film 

Kristen Stewart's new film for director Woody Allen is generating lots of buzz just days into shooting in Los Angeles.

The 25-year-old actress sparked interest in a outfit that showcased her taut midriff and slim limbs on Tuesday while filming another scene for the as-yet-untitled project that also stars Jesse Eisenberg.

Kristen was dressed in the clothes of a bygone era featuring a pretty peach printed, tied top and cream-coloured, loose, high-waist shorts.

Completing her wardrobe was a ribbon in her brunette bob-styled hair and snow-white trainers.

Behind her tinted retro shades, Kristen had a huge smile on her face as she was escorted across the set by a female production assistant while clutching a cell phone.

The scene called for Kristen to drive a shiny beige vintage convertible with chrome fenders and other details pertinent to the period the movie is set in, and pick up Jesse on a tree-lined street.

The cameras followed the leading stars as they puttered down a quiet residential street.

The scene was remarkably calm and complacent compared to the passionate kiss Kristen and Jesse filmed the day before in Santa Monica, California's Palisades Park.

Kristen and Jesse showed great chemistry as they locked lips and cuddled on the bluff overlooking the beach.

At one point, the two seemed as giddy as teenagers before honing in for a heated embrace.

Woody Allen's next venture has been shrouded in secrecy but boasts an all-star cast including Blake Lively, Bruce Willis, Corey Stoll, Anna Camp, Parker Posey, Paul Schneider and Judy Davis.

It's also the second time the filmmaker has used Los Angeles as a shooting location since 1977's Annie Hall.

It is also Kristen and Jesse's third vehicle together having also starred in American Ultra and 2009's Adventureland.

While American Ultra - released in US theatres last Friday - might be getting lukewarm reviews, most critics admit the two leads are appealing together.

Eisenberg has previously worked with Allen in 2012's To Rome With Love.

Meanwhile, later on, Kristen and Jesse filmed a scene that had them leaving a movie theatre. By now, Kristen had changed into a pale and pleated skirt teamed with a gingham tied top with white collar and cuffs.

She wore white ankle socks with classic brown sandals and swung a beaded clutch.

Woody Allen was seen giving the young stars some legendary direction, during which Kristen's behavior was somewhere between all-ears and wanting to get it right. 

Kristen and Jesse seemed to be having an animated Woody Allen-ish conversation during one part of the scene.

The young actress switched into yet another outfit - a long muted yellow skirt with a delicate blouse to match, along with modestly heeled shoes.
