Fans can't believe how long Blake Shelton, 48, and Gwen Stefani, 55, have already been together

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been together for nearly 10 years and their love is going strong.

'It honestly does [feel like time is flying by]. Some of the things that we talk about, we're to the point in our relationship that it's like, "Oh, remember what happened..." and you realize, "Oh my God, that was 8 years ago!" It's like, how did this happen so quickly?' Shelton, 48, said.

Shelton also admitted that 10 years is a long time, but he's not worrying about his marriage getting stale as the relationship 'still feels new to me.'

'I feel like that might be the key to happiness, is that it feels just as exciting and new and happy,' he told People while promoting his upcoming album For Recreational Use Only.

Shelton and Stefani, 55, have a duet on the upcoming album and the God Gave Me You singer revealed they actually recorded two songs but held one back for a future album.

'We were both so fired up about both of them that we ended up holding one back for the next project, he said.

He also said that he and his wife love to push themselves as vocalists.

'We live together, so we walk around the house singing these songs all the time and we have months to talk about, "Hey, maybe you jump on that part,"' Shelton explains.

'By the time we get to the studio, we're normally really prepared.'

Shelton went on to reveal that he feels Stefani pays more attention to getting her lyrics just right.

'Gwen is way more particular when it comes to a lyric. I've never been as much of a stickler as she is.

'It's really important for her to be able to see herself in the lyric that she's singing vs. me. I've sung about going to prison, and there's never really been a debate, he joked.

While he's promoting his new album, he's also looking forward to summer and spending time with his wife and stepsons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11.

'I'm looking forward to the kids being out of school. Gwen and I pretty much have our summers wide open,' he said.

'We both have a few shows here and there, but nothing that's tying us down to keep us from going and doing something fun,' he said.

'We don't have any plans — which is our favorite plan.'

Recently, Stefani appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and talked about the third person in her relationship with Shelton.

Stefani, a devout Catholic, revealed how a higher power played a role in her relationship as she chatted with Drew Barrymore on a November episode of her eponymous talk show.

'What's the best advice you've ever received about love?' Drew, 50, asked the No Doubt songstress.

'Best advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party,' Gwen said.

She pointed her finger upwards, indicating God.

The interview came shortly before Gwen divided fans by promoting the Catholic prayer app Hallow.

While a lot fans have supported Gwen's public embrace of her faith, others criticized the Hollaback Girl hitmaker for the religious venture.

'Trad wife transformation complete,' wrote one, while another commented, 'What the hell is this!'

'I'm just going to tell myself this is AI and continue with my life,' wrote a third.

A fourth added, 'Gwen, I've loved you since I was eight years old back in the Tragic Kingdom days. I understand your faith is important to you but this is seriously cringe.'
