Larsa Pippen, 48, DEFENDS her 16-year age gap with Michael Jordan's son Marcus Jordan, 32, adding most people approve of their union

Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan are tired of people seeing their ages and their very famous last names and jumping to conclusions.

The Real Housewife of Miami star, 48 - who has been soaking up the sun in South Florida - and the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, 32, sat down for an interview with E! News and addressed the elephants in the room. 

'I let people that are misinformed be misinformed,' Marcus said. 'I feel like people see our last names and immediately want to have some sort of reaction or opinion. 

'But I feel like as people get to know us and understand our situations more, they're way more happy for us and just want to see us to live in our truths and be happy.' 

Marcus' father won six NBA Championships for the Chicago Bulls with Larsa's ex-husband, basketball great Scottie Pippen. The couple have been dating since September 2022.

Larsa added that she has realized 'people just want to see you happy and there's just a few people who are just miserable.

'They just wanna have some negative input on things,' she continued. 'But I think overall, I feel like people that know us, love us, want us to be happy.' 

And the former college basketball player for the University of Central Florida said he is an 'old soul,' while the mom of four is a 'young soul.'

'I just feel like we meet somewhere in the middle,' he noted. 'Age is just a number, but I think maturity and life experience really dictate the relationship.' 

The couple recently launched their podcast Separation Anxiety with Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan. 

'Everything we do, we have in common,' Larsa added. 

'We like the same things, we like to go to the same places. I feel like for us, it's very natural to be with each other. I don't really see the age part of it.'

Larsa said something similar on The Tamron Hall show earlier this year.

'We have everything in common, I don't feel like age determines if you're mature. Scottie is 10 years older than me…,' she said.

She added: 'I can't explain how Scottie feels. I live my truth, I'm happy, Marcus and I get along, he's my best friend, it wasn't planned. We were together and it just so happened like that.'

When asked if the pair were in love, she said: 'I think so. We're in a really good place. I should have love and should be able to date who I want.'

She's even gotten the approval of Marcus' parents Michael, 60 and Juanita Jordan, 63.

The Bravolebrity said: 'We're happy, we motivate each other, they're all fine with it.'

'I feel like, we've spent holidays together and it's good. We're in a great place. I think so. We're in a really good place,' she said.

Larsa and Marcus have known each other for years but started their romantic relationship slowly.

They first sparked romance rumors last fall after they were spotted out and about on several occasions.

The couple had reasons for keeping their relationship quiet: Larsa's ex-husband is in a well-publicized feud with his former teammate and Marcus' father.
