BBC Morning Live star Dr James Greenwood reveals he's having a baby with partner Mark Titterton as he details their 'incredible' surrogate journey

BBC star Dr James Greenwood has confirmed he is expecting a baby with his partner Mark Titterton.

James, 37, is the resident vet for BBC channels including Morning Live and CBBC, and announced the happy news on Sunday.

Posting a loved-up snap with his partner of 15 years, Mark, while skiing in the French Alps, James revealed a set of baby scans.

The Bristol-born star revealed they were enjoying their last holiday with just the two of them as he shared details about their surrogacy journey.

Announcing the news as the pair grinned in their ski goggles, the vet wrote on Instagram: 'Some news! Having not been abroad together for nearly 4 years, it felt so perfect to be back in the sunny and snow capped French Alps this past week, to the place where we met almost 15 years ago.'

He continued: 'Made even more poignant - this time - as the last holiday we’ll have just us two…

'As we are completely thrilled to share with you that in a matter of weeks we shall be welcoming the sound of tiny feet into our lives.

'Our wonderful and INCREDIBLE surrogate and her most beautiful family, who we love so very much, have become such a massive part of our lives and words cannot begin to express how lucky we feel right now ❤️

'Shall keep you posted, and so here begins a whole new chapter … J&M x'

James' celebrity pals were quick to congratulate the couple, with his Morning Live co-star Kimberley Walsh posting: 'Just the BEST news ever.'

Dr Scott Miller wrote: 'Wow this is incredible news! So excited for you guys, welcome to the wonderful club of parenting (and sleepless nights, eyebags and nappies…so many nappies) ❤️'

DJ Sara Cox commented: 'The best news ❤️❤️❤️❤️'

In February, James announced his new book For The Love Of Animals, which will tell the inside story of what it's really like to work as a GP vet.

James previously competed on season one of The Great Pottery Showdown on BBC Two in 2015, where he sent fans into a frenzy over his good looks.

But although James won over those looking for easy-on-the-eye television, he was very nearly the first contestant to be shown the door, after judges Brymer Jones and Kate Malone criticised his work in a quick, nine-tile design challenge as 'simple'.

The aspiring potter managed to survive a couple of episodes before he was eliminated, despite being the least experienced in ceramics on the show.
