Layton opted for a beige suit jacket with off-white trousers as well as a dress shirt and brown loafers.

The two walked hand in hand after exchanging their emotional vows, during which they declared their love for one another.

Layton, 32, acknowledged the explosive nature of their relationship and attributed some of the turbulence to co-stars Harrison Boon and Bronte Schofield.

He then apologised for his part in the difficulties they faced and admitted that he hadn't always been there for Melinda, 32, when she needed him the most.

Layton expressed his fear that their differences could bring out the worst in each other, but ultimately decided he was willing to take the risk to be with Melinda.

'It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all, and I am falling in love with you,' he said.

'At times our relationship has been stressful, overwhelming, and difficult. And for my part in that, I wanna apologise.

'I realised there were moments when you needed me and I wasn't there to support you. There were moments where you didn't feel secure and I wasn't able to make you feel safe.
