Issa Rae cuts a casual-chic figure in red jumpsuit and black coat as she leads stars at Amazing Grace Conservatory's Home For The Holidays 25th anniversary celebration

Issa Rae looked casual while walking down the red carpet at the Amazing Grace Conservatory's Home For The Holidays 25th anniversary celebration in Los Angeles on Friday.

The 37-year-old actress and comedian — who recently spoke out about Hollywood's pattern of protecting powerful stars — donned a bright red jump suit under a black coat. She tucked the legs into a pair of leather boots.

She wore her hair in thin dreadlocks that reached down to the middle of her stomach.

The Insecure star shoved her hands in her pockets as she smiled a close-lipped grin.  

She stopped to pose with a number of other stars on the red carpet including 55-year-old Wendy Raquel Robinson.

She donned a simple white, long sleeve shirt with a clapperboard emblazoned on the front. The word 'age' was written in white across the black design. 

The Steve Harvey Show star donned metallic silver pants and black shoes. She parted her silky brown hair in the middle, and she added bright red lipstick. 

She accessorized with beautiful silver necklaces and matching earrings that dangled toward her shoulders. 

Angelique Bates, 42, wore a low-cut fiery red gown with fabric that pooled around her feet. 

Her hair was cut short, and she flashed a bright white smile through lips painted cherry red. 

Black-ish actor Barry Floyd donned a gray and white coat over a maroon shirt, black pants and matching sneakers.

Isaac Ryan Brown donned a button-down black coat over a white t-shirt. He added gray slacks and black shoes with white trim. 

Amazing Grace Conservatory is run by Wendy Raquel Robinson. Its Friday night event, hosted at The Beehive in Los Angeles, is a charity dinner. 

The proceeds from the event go toward the foundation which founded a scholarship in Rae's name this year.
