Ellie Warner professed her 'true love' for her boyfriend Nat Eddleston before he was hit by a car in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Gogglebox star, 31, who is reportedly plagued by fears he could be brain damaged, took to Instagram on Valentine's Day to gush over her partner.

Sharing a hilarious snap of her other half behind a delicious-looking kebab, she wrote: 'Happy Valentine’s Day to my one true loves [heart and laughing emoji].' 

Nat is currently 'in a critical but stable condition' after he was hit by a car in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He was said to be on life support after suffering collapsed lungs and a broken neck in the horrific incident which happened in the Halton area of Leeds.

On Monday, in a statement to Leeds Live, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: 'The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.' 

MailOnline contacted a representative for West Yorkshire Police and Ellie for further comment at the time.

A picture emerged over the weekend of the shocking crash, showing West Yorkshire Police at the scene of the serious collision as Nat was attended to by paramedics.

A family member told The Sun on Sunday after the incident: 'Nat is in intensive care with a broken neck, broken back, two collapsed lungs and possible brain damage.

'He is on a life support machine and all the family and Ellie are obviously very worried for him.'

Ellie was said to have been 'very fearful' and living living 'hour by hour' as she worried Nat could end up brain damaged after the accident.

A source told The Sun: 'Nat is Ellie's absolute world. She has been totally overwhelmed with messages of love and support.  

'She has barely left the hospital since this happened and Nat is getting brilliant care and treatment.

'At the moment they are living hour by hour and just praying that things get better.'

The incident is understood to have taken place in the Halton area of Leeds involving a white Seat Leon, with police appealing for witnesses.

It is understood Nat was drinking in his local pub before the collision, which happened shortly after midnight.

The car's windscreen is said to have been smashed in the incident and the roof was dented, with the vehicle allegedly continuing on for 100 yards before stopping. 

Nat recently moved in with Ellie, and briefly appeared alongside her on the show during the first months of the Covid lockdown. 

Hairdresser Ellie has appeared on Gogglebox with her sister Izzi since 2015.

Ellie and Nat bought their first home together last year, a 1930s semi-detached house in Leeds.

She wrote on Instagram at the time: 'We're so lucky the current owners have kept it in immaculate condition so we can move straight in and just do things as we go along!' 

'I'm so excited that I've more or less kitted the living room out already as that's gonna be the first room on the list.'

Ellie also joked that her partner has now banned her from browsing online retailer Facebook Marketplace.

'Nat has banned me from looking on Facebook Marketplace, but can't wait to get in and start making this house our home,' she quipped.

Sharing a second photo hours later, Ellie showed off the property's back garden, thanking fans for their overwhelming response.

The hairdresser has been dating her boyfriend for more than two years, and tends to keep her relationship out of the spotlight.
