Tensions between Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young came to a head in the latest season of Selling Sunset.

In January it was reported that Nicole, 39, had paused for unclear reasons, and now fans know why.

Viewers were finally given an explanation for her exit with the premiere of season nine on Wednesday.

A fiery dinner party came to a head when Nicole made an insensitive comment about 44-year-old Chrishell's deceased parents.

After Chrishell leveraged prior accusations about her co-star's alleged drug overdose, she hit back: 'Honey, you’re confusing me with your parents, OK? You seem to be obsessed with drugs.'

It was not taken lightly, with the dinner party aggressively calling for Nicole to leave immediately.

She was subsequently reprimanded by Oppenheim Group bosses Brett and Jason Oppenheim and fired from her job as a real estate agent.

The argument between Chrishell and Nicole spawned from the latter's false claims that their co-star Emma Hernan was having an affair with a married man.

Following Nicole's biting remark about Chrishell's mother and father, Amanza Smith, 48, responded, 'I hope you are on drugs because this is f***ing inexcusable.'

She demanded that Nicole leave the dinner, and pointed out that Chrishell's parents 'are dead.'

But Nicole did not back down as she called out Chrishell's swipe and argued, 'She’s talked about [her parents] being addicts.

'It is "OK" for me to continually be called a drug addict. You talked about your parents doing drugs.'

Meanwhile, Emma labeled Nicole 'sick and evil' as the group of women seemed to gang up on their now-former co-star.

Following the ouster, some fans took to X and Instagram to weigh in on the explosive confrontation, with one calling Nicole's remark about Chrishell's parents 'diabolical.'

Taking Nicole's side, one person wrote online, 'You can't keep calling someone a drug addict and weaponizing their private medical moments not expect them to take it to hell when they finally respond.'

Another wrote off the show entirely, saying on Instagram: 'I'm so done with this show. They didn't even bother to try to stop Chrishell from slandering and sharing someone's personal medical info, but they fire someone for making a comparison to a person that openly stated her parents OD'd while simultaneously trying g.'

The person laid out, 'Chrishell throws the first stone, then plays the victim, acts all outraged, and in the end everyone else has to defend her.'

'I think what Nicole did was really brave. I love that Nicole is standing her ground and showing up. i just watched something that happened in the latest Selling Sunset season, and it's incredible how the same pattern keeps repeating. I really admire you @itsnicoleyoung ❤️,' added the viewer.

Speaking with Us Weekly back in January, Nicole shared, 'I had a call with production two days ago during which they told me I have absolutely not been fired from the cast but they chose to pause my filming schedule until next week in order to protect me from situations on set that had become very contentious.'

And she revealed, 'I’m still debating whether or not I want to continue filming in this kind of environment, especially with so many infuriating double standards.'

Nicole continued: 'Selling Sunset has been a great opportunity and a wild ride, but it is not my life or identity. I have a big, beautiful life outside of the show… and thankfully in the real world, my life and personality can’t be edited or misconstrued to portray me negatively to fit into a produced storyline.'
