Los Angeles residents flooded emergency operators with emergency calls after the popular social networking site went down Friday morning, and officials are not happy.
‘#Facebook is not a Law Enforcement issue, please don't call us about it being down, we don't know when FB will be back up!’ Sergeant Burton Brink of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department tweeted at 12.37 p.m.

The lunchtime tweet quickly went viral, and has received nearly 3,800 retweets and more than 1,800 favorites as of Monday evening.
A follow-up tweet said an unknown number of people called authorities after the social network went kaput.
Facebook went down Friday shortly before lunch.
The outage lasted about half an hour before everything was back to normal.
