Celebrity stylist Law Roach releases debut book and throws EPIC party, On The Pass podcast hosts A-list dinner with acclaimed chef, and more of the week's hottest happenings in LA

When it comes to style, we are all inspired by what we see; whether it be a well-dressed celebrity, a blow-your-mind catwalk presentation or even a fashionable passerby.
As fashion editors, we're moved by all of the above, and then some. We're exposed to under-the-radar labels; we get a first-hand look at collections months before they hit stores; we attend VIP events; we're tapped into brands with chic-yet-cheap offerings and we shop — a lot.
To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest, greatest and on the verge. We hope this series will serve as a buying guide and point of inspiration for all.
Today's edition focuses on the hottest events that took place in Los Angeles, California.
HOTTEST PRIVATE EVENT
Gabriel Ornelas brought a taste of the Long Live Interesting, an On The Pass Experience to Marina Del Rey with a private dinner with acclaimed chef and owner of Santa Monica's Bar Monette and Burgette, Sean MacDonald.
Guests enjoyed several delicious dishes by MacDonald, including raw scallops in a fish sauce topped by almond slices and mint, mushroom croquettes, and a corn agnolotti in cultured butter.
As well as a slow cooked beef cheek with an oxtail massaman curry jus and Thai herbs.
Each course paired perfectly with speciality cocktails crafted with Compass Box's new core collection of whiskies.
Prairie Rose (Senior Drinks Editor, Food & Wine), Esther Tseng (food and culture writer and Academy Chair, USA West The World's 50 Best Bars) and Joy Barret (Emmy Nominated Casting Producer, Top Chef, Netflix’s Bake Squad, Final Table, Iron Chef) were just a few industry notables in attendance.
Dinner was served at a long wood table with an autumnal-inspired setting that blended seasonal elements with a touch of sophistication.
Delightful details like red apples and pussy willows were thoughtfully placed adding a hint of charm, while mismatched cloth napkins lent a sense of casual whimsy.
From their seats, guests, including Benjamin Taylor (co-founder of Old Road Rum) watched as chef Sean and Layla head chef Reece Macisaac, worked their culinary magic.
After the fourth course, additional cocktails were enjoyed on the chic balcony made complete with comfortable lounge seating and candlelight, providing the perfect ending to an unforgettable evening.
On The Pass features conversations with influential people in the food, beverage, hospitality, and travel industries. It's a Top 100 Food podcast.

COOL NEW DROPS
On Wednesday, October 3rd, fine jewelry designer Logan Hollowell launched a capsule collection in collaboration with functional mushroom chocolatier Alice Mushrooms.
With a shared belief of the healing and transformative powers of mushrooms, the two female founded California-based brands came together to blend the world of functional wellness and fine jewelry.
The Logan Hollowell x Alice collection includes 5 one of a kind pieces available in both yellow and white gold.
Each style is inspired by the profound mental and physical benefits of functional and psychedelic mushrooms, and range in price from $795 to $3,595.
'As wellness and holistic medicine are cornerstones of my life, I have long been passionate about the healing benefits of both functional and psychedelic mushrooms,' says Logan Hollowell.
'It was an organic partnership for Lindsay and me since we are on the same frequency in terms of our attraction to healing things - mushrooms, jewelry and chocolate! I believe that jewelry is a celebration of one’s self.
'Combining worlds and creating these pieces with Lindsay and Charlotte was so much fun, and we are thrilled to spread our love for what we create to the world with positive intention.'
To celebrate the launch, Logan hosted 35 guests for dinner at the Chateau Marmont together with Alice Mushroom co-founders Charlotte Cruze and Lindsay Goodstein.
Fine jewelry designer Maya Brenner and actress Abigail Spencer dropped the second series of their Retreat Collection.
'The Retreat Collection was born from Abigail and I actually doing a retreat together in LA,' said Maya Brenner.
'About a year later we were having lunch and she was wearing this really big crystal that I was drawn to and loved but we both thought it was a "wow" piece, it was heavy and a little much, so we just started talking about how great it would be to have a crystal piece that you could wear around your neck that was wearable and approachable'
'Abigail said "it could be a piece to protect your peace" and I thought that's a tagline before we even begin!
'So we set out to create the Retreat Collection that could remind you about the feelings you have when you're in a good place.
'On the surface it's pretty and sparkly but if you dig a little bit deeper you find that it means something more.'
The first drop included Clarity (clear quartz), Happiness (citrine), and Love (rose quartz).
After Abigail gifted the Clarity necklace to her best friend Meghan Markle, the small unknown collection became popular around the world.
'She wore it because she loved it and because she supported me and it went on from there,' shared Abigail.
'We didn't mean to do anything business oriented with it so the fact that people really love it and here we are adding more to the collection, and doing something a little more intentional with it is a nice thing.'
The new drop consists of Protection (labradorite), Courage (smoky quartz) and In Flow (fluorite).
'It's what we felt was missing from the original launch and adding those important layers.
'All of these pieces are what you want to call in, a simple reminder to shift the intention of your day.'
Necklaces retail for $495.
