Emily Blunt is left cringing as Critics' Choice Awards host Taye Diggs asks her to touch his bum in awkward Mary Poppins skit
Her new film, Mary Poppins Returns, failed to scoop any gongs at the Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday night.
Yet Emily Blunt, 35, was reminded of her role in the successful sequel during a skit that viewers branded 'painful' to watch.
During the action-packed show, awards host Taye Diggs, 48, left Emily cringing as he asked her to touch his behind whilst dressed as Mary Poppins.

Taye donned the character's iconic navy coat and red hat as he approached Emily and Mary Poppins Returns director Rob Marshall at their table.
As Emily shook her head, Taye quipped:' I'm not trying to be Mary Poppins.' But then he added: 'I'm thinking sequel right?'
Showing off his dance moves, he continued: 'What about Mary Poppin' and Lockin'?' as Emily looked on in amusement, mouthing 'wow'.

Taye then spun around and began waggling his derriere in Emily's face as he squealed: 'Mary Poppin' like it hot! Don't be afraid, touch it!'
Emily grimaced as she said: 'No, it's horrifying,' before gamely reaching out and gently patting his backside while Rob shook and head and appeared to mouth the word: 'No.'
The skit didn't go down well with viewers, who tweeted: 'That was painful to watch!'; 'The @CriticsChoice awards is painful to watch. They are giving out a #SeeHer award? But did the critics SEE Emily Blunt's face after @TayeDiggs twerked on her and then told her to touch it? Read the room Taye, not going your way, but you've got time come on into 2019.'
Others were amused by the segment, however, posting: 'Taye dressed as Mary Poppins is the highlight of the night'; 'Emily Blunt was not feelin' Taye Diggs' butt.'

Although Emily missed out on the Best Actress gong for her role in Mary Poppins Returns, she still took to the stage on the night as A Quiet Place was named Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie.
The actress stars in the flick alongside husband John Krasinski, who also directed the terrifying film.
The couple shared a sweet moment of PDA as they picked up the award, where John called A Quiet Place a 'love letter to his kids', and admitted it would have been impossible to make without his family.
