A substitute teacher in Las Vegas was fired after she was caught on camera asking her class why white people weren't allowed to say a racial slur.
In a now-viral video which was shared on TikTok last week, the white substitute at Centennial High School posed a question to her classroom about the 'n-word'.
The video showed the teacher addressing a rambunctious sophomore class.
'I want to know why, when black people are amongst each other, they call each other n****?' the educator, who has not been named, asked.
The teacher's use of the racial slur caused the class to erupt in shock, with one student walking away with his hands in the air.
Others gasped and started laughing in awe, before the teacher responded, 'Exactly.'
'When a white person says it, it’s like "oh my God." It’s like an act of something, what is that?" she continued.
Shortly after Principal Keith Wipperman sent an email to students informing parents that the substitute was no longer employed by the Clark County School District, local CBS affiliate, KLAS reported.
