Michael Owen revealed a previously unknown fact about himself on the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year red carpet in Salford on Tuesday night.
The football legend, 44, told a shocked BBC reporter that he had never had a cup of tea or coffee.
The sports journalist was interviewing a host of celebs and one by one, asked them to tell him a secret.
And he was gobsmacked when Michael cheerfully revealed: 'I've never had a cup of tea or coffee in my life.'
The interviewer replied: 'Wow.' And turned away to face the camera, while Michael looked rather pleased with himself.

Other secrets included Mary Earps, who came out on top on the night, being a junior black belt in judo and Katarina Johnson-Thompson crying when Gareth Gates lost on Pop Idol.
Mary Earps was the frontrunner to be crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year from a six-person shortlist.
The England goalkeeper, 30, was the odds-on bookies’ favourite to become the second straight Lioness to land the coveted award following Beth Mead’s triumph last year.
Known as Mary Queen of Stops, the footballer faced competition from Ashes hero Stuart Broad and world heptathlon champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson.
Veteran jockey Frankie Dettori, Europe’s Ryder Cup talisman Rory McIlroy and wheelchair tennis No1 Alfie Hewett are also nominated for the prestigious award.
Mary became the 70th winner of SPOTY, which occurs annually in December.
The Awards usually take place on a Sunday night, so their unexplained move to Tuesday angered viewers.
Michael has been married to Louise Bonsall for 18 years and they share two children: Love Island star Gemma, 20, and student James, 17, who recently opened up about being 'clinically blind'.
