Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio lead the way in study of whose film characters curse the most
Jonah Hill has prevailed in the Hollywood cursing contest.
In a study by Buzz Bingo, the actor edged out colleagues including Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Adam Sandler, Al Pacino and Denzel Washington of being the actor whose characters swears the most in their films.
According to the outlet, characters played by the Los Angeles native, 36, 'have cursed 376 times in total, and 22.9 times per 1,000 words uttered.'

Among the roles that helped catapult the Oscar-nominee to the foul-mouthed achievement include shady stockbroker Donnie Azoff in 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street; arms salesman Efraim Diveroli in 2016's War Dogs and Seth in the 2007 comedy Superbad.
The latter comedic character also made the top ten list of the most-frequently swearing character in the history of cinema.
Rounding out the list of actors who most frequently swear in their movies include Jonah's The Wolf of Wall Street co-star Leonardo DiCaprio, whose character in the Martin Scorsese film led the most-swearing list with 332.
Also on the list was Samuel L. Jackson (301), Adam Sandler (295), Al Pacino (255), Denzel Washington (183), Billy Bob Thornton (145), Seth Rogen (143), Bradley Cooper (142) and Danny McBride (136).

Rounding out the list of foul-mouthed characters in film include Adam Sandler's Uncut Gems character Howard Ratner with 295; Joe Pesci's Nicky Santoro in 1995's Casino with 288; Kevin Mewes' Jay in 2001's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back with 268; and Jackson's Ordell Robbie in 1997's Jackie Brown with 183.
Other notable characters in the top ten are Al Pacino's Tony Montana in Scarface with 165; and Jeff Bridges' iconic portrayal of The Dude in The Big Lebowski with 158.
