Anthony Bourdain receives posthumous Emmy nominations for Parts Unknown... one year after his heartbreaking suicide

Anthony Bourdain's legacy continues to live on one year after his untimely death.

The celebrity chef was found dead from suicide last June in his hotel in Kaysersberg, France.

Over a year after the heartfelt loss, Bourdain has received multiple Emmy nominations.

The nominations that were announced Tuesday morning included Bourdain for Outstanding Informational Series or Special and Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program for Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.

The CNN show documented his travels as he explored culture and cuisines around the world.

The docuseries ran for 12 seasons from 2013 to 2018, shortly after his Travel Channel series Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations aired its final episode, following nine seasons from 2005 to 2012.

Parts Unknown also received nominations in sound mixing, cinematography, and picture editing.

It previously won Outstanding Informational Series or Special in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Bourdain was filming an episode in Strasbourg at the time of his death, which was just before his 62nd birthday.

He was found June 8, having committed suicide by hanging in his hotel room at Le Chambard.
