Sarah Paulson and Cynthia Nixon showed classic style is timeless in black at the MCC Theater's annual Miscast gala in New York City on Monday.
Sarah, 40, - who was one of the honourees of the night - looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder LBD which cinched in to accentuate her thin torso.
Meanwhile, the 48-year-old Sex And City star Cynthia showed off her toned arms in a tank dress that hugged every curve of her enviable figure.

In addition to being recognised for her acting career at the festivities, Sarah surely won the best dressed title.
The American Horror star actress dressed elegantly in a long sleeve dress with an A-line knee length skirt.
She styled her satin frock with white accessories including a rectangular clutch and snakeskin high heels.
The blonde beauty wore her short locks with a middle part and completed her look with a swipe of pink lipstick.

The former redhead wore her now blonde locks in a pixie cut styled to one side and she refrained from any jewellery for a very simple look.
Cynthia opted for comfort with a pair of pointed ballet flats instead of high heels.

The annual Miscast gala was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC and was hosted by Daily Show star Aasif Mandvi.
Not only was Sarah one of the honourees, legendary theatre producer Fran Weissler was celebrated for her well respected work.
Sarah and Cynthia were joined by Uzo Aduba and Andrew Rannells at the event co-chaired by James Earl Jones, Jessica Lange, Christopher Plummer and Harvey Weinstein.
