Kate Winslet admits filming Revolutionary Road sex scenes with co-star Leonardo DiCaprio in front of director husband Sir Sam Mendes was 'very weird'
Kate Winslet admitted that filming sex scenes with her former co-star and pal Leonardo DiCaprio in front of her husband Sir Sam Mendes was very 'weird'.
The actress, 47, starred alongside her Titanic co-star in Revolutionary Road in 2008 and said filming the sex scenes were not comfortable at all.
However, Leonardo has previously gushed that the pair 'definitely have a comfort level between' them which pushes them to be better actors.
He said: 'We were actively looking for something to do together. It felt really natural. She’s my homie. We can push the boundaries with each other.
'We use the fact that we’ve been such good friends through the years to our advantage.

Kate agreed with the Wolf Of Wall Street star but admitted the sex scenes were awkward as her director husband was there.
Kate said: 'It was the element of, "OK my husband is over there." That was a bit weird.'
Leonardo added that she was the 'consummate professional' playing April which later gained her a Golden Globe award in 2009.
Kate fell in love with Sam after her first marriage to Jim Threapleton, who she shares a daughter Mia, 21, with.

She and Sam separated in 2019 after a seven year marriage and share a son Joe, 19, together.
The pair now co-parent, she told The Mirror: 'One thing I will say about me and Sam is that it’s fine, it’s really fine.
'We’re grown-ups at the end of the day, and however hard it’s been for me, it’s been equally hard for him.
'And we have a child together who we both love, and raising him together, jointly and without any conflict, is absolutely key.'
Kate has since found love again with Sir Richard Branson’s nephew Ned Rocknroll, who she married in New York in 2012.
