The child in the photo is Lincoln Younes, 30, who played Casey Braxton on Home and Away between 2011 and 2014.
In a second image posted the same day, he wore a similar outfit to the one he'd sported as a boy, while celebrating a milestone birthday.
'30 today! A lot has changed. A lot hasn't. Three decades of life, what a joy,' he wrote in his caption.

The actor, also well known for his role in Tangle as Romeo Kovac, will next appear in the ABC surf drama Barons, in which he will play a character named Buddy Fraser.
The new series is set in the 1970s and focusses on two surfers who become rivals as they create separate billion-dollar empires.
Barons also stars Sean Keenan, Ben O' Toole, Jillian Nguyen, Hunter Page-Lochard, George Pullar and Sophia Forrest.

Last year, it was rumoured that Lincoln be joining the star-studded line-up of Big Brother VIP.
However, he gave a very stern response when asked if he would be heading on the Channel Seven series.
In a statement on Instagram, he confirmed he would 'never' take part in Big Brother, before asking fans to get back to reading news 'that actually matters'.
