Elizabeth Ramos, 57, used a respirator for her chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Her daughter heard Ramos' respirator beeping at 5am when the Brooklyn apartment lost power. The power went out at the entire 5,881-unit apartment complex, known as Spring Creek Towers. Ramos' daughter tried to save her with oxygen from backup tanks but it was too late. The FDNY is claiming that the power outage was unrelated to Ramos' death and that she likely died before the blackout....read
