With autumn just around the corner, I can finally start getting excited about the AW25 collections that are dropping in stores. My first solution for breathing new life into my wardrobe is to invest in a couple of new denim pieces (I know. Groundbreaking. But there’s no better way to get out of a style rut than by splurging on a fresh pair of jeans.)
Then I’d start shopping for some nice tops to go with those jeans. (It is, after all, an outfit combination that can’t be beat.) Ahead, you’ll find 13 of the prettiest blouses I’ve bookmarked for autumn. All I need to do now is choose…
The best blouses to shop for AW25
Gingham had its moment this summer, but this black-and-white drawstring boatneck top can easily be worn into autumn with a pair of white barrel jeans and black loafers.
Revealing yet tasteful, this long-sleeve top comes in the season’s most-searched for colour: chocolate brown. I’d wear it with some straight black jeans and patent slingbacks on a date night.
This shirred top is giving DÔEN – for a fraction of the price. I’d team it with some mid blue ankle jeans and black ballet flats.
I didn’t know I needed a dark denim top for autumn until I saw this one from Arket. The peplum silhouette and buttons at the front really elevate its look.
There are few items I reach for more than a crisp white button-down and this wrap shirt brings a feminine twist.
I’d wear this draped Rails top with a pair of black bootcut jeans, black pointed-toe ankle boots and a statement belt.
I first had my eye on this top last autumn, and H&M have just released it in new iterations, including this gorgeous khaki hue.
If summers are for white lace, winters are for black lace. And where better to shop than Sézane? The Parisian brand has more than a few options, but it’s this high collar shirt that made it onto my wish list.
I had to do a double take to make sure this ruffled blouse wasn’t Chloé. (It’s Karen Millen.) I’d lean into the boho vibe with wide leg jeans and a pair of cowboy boots.
This puff sleeve top comes with a matching skirt, but I’d wear it with black jeans and kitten heel ankle boots.
A bit of a splurge, but I can see this polka dot top becoming one of my most coveted pieces, especially when paired with white jeans and black ballet flats.
Another twist on the classic button-down, this lace iteration from Mint Velvet will dress up any pair of jeans.
