List of beloved movies and shows LEAVING Netflix next month sparks fierce outrage online

Netflix fans are pre-emptively mourning the loss of several fan favorites - including all four Shrek films, the Despicable Me franchise and more.

Just hours remain before the streamer removes 37 titles on November 1.

Among the movies being taken off the platform at the turn of the month are Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After.

Seven movies from the Fast & Furious franchise are also being pulled, as well as both Gene Hackman's Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and Johnny Depp's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Additionally, the classic 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off, starring Matthew Broderick, will be leaving next month.

Angry subscribers voiced their upset over the impending removals on social media.

'Curse you Netflix,' one said of the removal of the Shrek films.

'I'm going to be sad when they take Shrek off Netflix,' another said.

Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After will be gone from the platform 

'SHREK IS LEAVING NETFLIX? ALL OF THEM?' wrote a third.

Addressing Netflix directly, a fourth begged: 'Stop taking away my favorite shows/movies. 

'First The Vampire Diaries, then Shrek, then you brought it back, now it's leaving again! And PLEASE bring back The Vampire Diaries.'

'Wait they got rid of all the Shrek on Netflix? What am I supposed to watch then?' asked a fifth.

While many have been up in arms about the content being scrapped, Netflix will be introducing a whole host of TV shows and films too.

The Back to the Future trilogy will be making its way to the platform as of November 1, alongside the Hangover trilogy, the 2000 film Charlie's Angles and Crazy Rich Asians (2018), and more.

Of course, the fifth and final season of Stranger Things will also premiere on Netflix with Volume 1 (episodes one to four) on November 26.

Volume 2 will follow on Christmas Day, with episodes five, six, and seven, while the Finale will air on New Year's Eve.
