Fans and critics have remarked on Justin's skin and acne in recent years, which could be both a symptom of his Lyme disease and the chronic mono.
Mono is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus and spreads through saliva, often via kissing.
Chronic mono occurs when the body's immune system isn't able to tamp down the initial infection, allowing the virus to remain active.
In addition to the common fatigue symptom, those with the chronic form of the illness can suffer liver damage, skin rashes, swollen lymph nodes, and have an enlarged spleen, among other symptoms.
