Sarah Paulson reveals that she touched Adele's voice box in hopes of singer's singing talent rubbing off

She's been hailed with awards as one of Hollywood's most talented actresses, but Sarah Paulson's always looking for a little bit more.

Paulson, 44, appears on Wednesday's edition of Ellen, where she shares an amusing anecdote of her run-in with singer Adele, 30, at Ellen's 60th birthday bash last February. 

Ellen told the Emmy-winning actress: 'I heard this: At my birthday party; so Adele was at my birthday party and you asked if you could touch her?'

'Touch her voice box,' said Sarah. 'I asked if I could touch where all the magic comes from - and she let me!'

Asked if Adele believed she was crazy, the Tampa-born starlet said of the London songstress: 'She did, but she let me do it.'

Paulson alluded to her hopes of Adele's talents literally rubbing off on her with the gesture.

'I thought it would excrete some stuff that I could have,' the Glass star said.

Ellen asked Sarah, 'So you sing?' to which she replied, 'No; I wanted some of it!'

Paulson hummed a few bars to show her skills, then tried to harmonize with Ellen.

Ellen's birthday was held last year in Los Angeles, and boasted a celebrity guest list on par with the Oscars as Oprah, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lawrence were among the stars in attendance, with performers such as Pharrell, Pink and Melissa Etheridge taking the stage.
