Shaken, not scarred! Pierce Brosnan is on the mend with a nasty head wound all but gone as he does a spot of surf shopping with son Paris

It must be all that salt water.

Just a few days after stepping out with a rather bloody cut above his eye, Pierce Brosnan looked almost as good as new in Malibu, California, on Sunday with son Paris.

The 62-year-old barely had a mark on his forehead as he and his son stopped by a surf shop at the Trancas shopping area.

While his head may have looked all better, the Bond actor did some damage to his credit card instead.

Clearly hitting the beach to mark the end of summer over the Labor Day long weekend, the actor and his 14-year-old stocked up in just a short visit.

Wandering out from the store, Pierce carried a couple of new straw hats - which were great for keeping the sun off his healing cut - and a Go-Pro Camera.

Emerging barefoot with the board under his arm, Paris looked like a quintessential Californian teen.

While he may be Irish, Pierce has also completely acclimated to the Southern Californian lifestyle.

Dressed in a more polished beachside look - which is perfect for the exclusive Malibu area - the GoldenEye actor wore a pair of white shorts with a light denim shirt and Birkenstock sandals.

The star wore his greying locks slicked back showing that his forehead was indeed close to being damage-free with just the tiniest mark visible.

It was very different to the star's appearance last week when he was first seen sporting a big and bloody gash above his eye last Monday.

It is not known how the actor ended up with the cut, but he seems to have picked up the gash above his right eye sometime after last Thursday, when he appeared uninjured on Tonight With Jimmy Kimmel.
