Beverley Callard is facing fresh financial woes after reportedly failing to pay a £98,000 tax bill which could force her to become bankrupt for a second time.
The former Coronation Street actress, 68, who played Liz McDonald in the soap from 1985 until 2020, owed HMRC after her company JMBJ Limited went bust in 2023.
Beverley and her husband Jon McEwan, who are directors of the company, set the entity up after she left the ITV soap as a way to manage her money, before going into liquidation.
The firm is said to have only managed to pay off £7,500 of the £114,000 loans they took against the business, leaving an outstanding £51,000 tax bill and £47,000 owed in corporation tax.
In addiction the business also is in debt almost £3,000 to 'other creditors' due to 'insufficient funds' with liquidators also only being paid just £7,657 of their £33,164 bill.
Documents revealed: “After taking into consideration the directors’ financial position and the likely additional costs to be incurred in continuing to pursue this matter further, the Joint Liquidators accepted the sum of £7,500 in full and final settlement of the outstanding balance owed.

'This offer was deemed acceptable on the basis that, given the directors’ financial position, it was unlikely that any further recoveries would be possible and that the costs of continuing to pursue this matter would likely outweigh any potential further recoveries which would result in any benefit to the Company’s creditors'.
The Sun went on to claim that liquidators said: 'Due to lack of realisations in this matter, the balance in hand of £1,454.82 plus VAT has been drawn in respect of the above outstanding remuneration. No further fees will be recoverable'.
Daily Mail ahave contacted Beverly's representatives for comment.
It is not the first time Beverley has faced financial struggles and in 2012 became bankrupt after she was hit with tax bill of £60,000.
The actress' money woes reached crisis point when she quit her role in the soap after suffering from ill health and depression. She was caring for her mother, who was in the late stages of Alzheimer's.
She told the Sunday Mirror at the time: 'Since the bankruptcy became public people think I'm a showbiz diva who frittered her cash away on expensive dinners and fancy clothes. That couldn't be further from the truth.
'Corrie schedules are full-on. It's all or nothing and I had to face a choice between The Street or Mum. I love everything about Corrie but there could only be one answer.'

The actress had battles with money problems in the past. Beverley suffered a breakdown around February 2009, having worked double time at Corrie and at the pub which she owned with her fourth husband Jon.
Hit hard by the credit crunch and smoking ban, losses at the pub meant that the couple's debts grew out of control.
For a while the pair were reduced to borrowing cash off friends in order to afford the one meal per day they ate to survive.
At her lowest point, Beverly was unable to cover the cost of electric shock therapy for depression while in a psychiatric ward at The Priory in Altrincham.

Her beloved character, Liz McDonald, first graced Coronation Street's cobbles more than three decades ago, when she arrived with her family.
The clan included husband Jim (Charles Lawson), as well as twin sons Andy (Nicholas Cochrane) and Steve (Simon Gregson) - the latter now a stalwart on the show.
Beverley initially left the role in 1998, with further stints from 2000 to 2001, 2003 to 2011 and most recently, 2013 to 2020.
