Bristol Palin has given an update on her facial paralysis one year after she first developed the mysterious health condition.
The 35-year-old media personality - who recently reunited with her teenage son Tripp - jumped to her Instagram stories on Tuesday as she reflected on how her life has altered over the past year.
The star's doctor believed she has a form of Bell's palsy after tests turned up with 'nothing' while searching for an answer to her condition.
Despite her journey with her condition, Palin got candid about staying optimistic and how she has gotten closer to her faith as well as finding her 'inner confidence.'
While sitting inside a parked vehicle, the mom-of-three discussed 'the ways that my life has improved since this happened.'
Palin told her followers that she has given 'control back to God' and is placing her worries 'at God's feet.'

She explained, 'I can't call myself a Christian and still try to control and be a perfectionist in so many areas of my life. So, releasing all that back to God has freed me up from so much.'
Palin also added that she feels 'like I have been able to practice so much self-discipline this last year.
'And really hear God's voice and walk into that calling, so I'm thankful for that.'
The public speaker's health battle has also sparked her to have motivation to lead a healthier lifestyle.
'This has also forced me to live a much healthier life, be more concerned with what I'm consuming, what I'm doing everyday. And I'm very thankful for the path that has put me on.'
Palin further expressed, 'And the vanity portion of it - I have never once acted like I was ever some smoke show. All my friends know that I am extremely humble.'
As she motioned to her face, the star continued, 'But something like this really does force you to find some sort of inner confidence that I am just so thankful for.'
The media personality said that she is also focusing on what God has called her to do and will 'rely on truly who God has created me to be.'

Last month in December, she also briefly talked about her facial paralysis during a Q+A session with her Instagram followers.
One had sent in, 'How's your face? Updates? Progress?' and she shared a reel to offer an answer.
'If anyone's wondering, today's day 323 of my face being paralyzed,' the star explained.
Palin went on to remove the sunglasses she had been wearing and then admitted, 'Not looking great.'

As she tried to raise one of her eyebrows, the media personality showed that one side of her face remained still. 'Not a whole lot of movement.'
Palin motioned to the right side of her face and added, 'This eye... I will eventually get Botox in it. It just gets so small when I smile or when I'm expressive at all.'
The star further said that her condition 'could be worse, could be better' before gushing about her 'cute sunglasses.'
And during the Thanksgiving holiday late last year, she spent time with her two daughters - where she also gave an additional update.

In a video uploaded to her Instagram stories at the time, both she and her daughter Sailor could be seen showing off their outfits for the holiday.
'Black skinnies, black long sleeve, same denim shirt I wear all the time, vintage Louis Vuitton,' the former Dancing With The Stars competitor said.
The mom-of-three then added, 'And still a crooked face.'
Eight months after opening up about her condition, Palin shared a positive update in August 2025 by revealing that her face is 'slowly getting better.'
