Paloma Faith has revealed she was hospitalised with the flu as she shared a picture of herself wearing a nebuliser to stabilise her breathing on Sunday.

The singer, 44, who is mother to two daughters, is currently expecting her third child after announcing the news on her Instagram page in October.

Sharing a selfie in a black sweatshirt and cap, Paloma wrote: 'Thanks Homerton Hospital for nebulising me for flu.'

Paloma also shared that she is finding it 'worrying' being pregnant in her forties, while posting a series of new snaps of her blossoming baby bump.

In the caption, she wrote: 'Pregnancy at 44. Ngl that's a bit worrying but I'm trying to pretend to myself I'm calm so that eventually that comes true.

'I couldn't be more happy about another baby and I'm bracing myself for the storm...'

Last week, Paloma proved she is staying on top of her fitness regimen during her pregnancy as she shared a workout video.

Paloma looked happy and healthy as she squatted and lifted weights while sporting a black Nike crop top and high-waisted leggings.

Feeling the strain of the session, the star, who is expecting the baby with her boyfriend of one year Stevie Thomas, pulled a silly face at the camera while showing she is staying fit and strong ahead of the tot's arrival.

In an accompanying caption, she wrote: '23 weeks pregnant 3rd baby. Still trying to move', while also tagging personal trainers Rob Solly and Vicky Ziff.

She thanked the duo for 'saving her', as she was added to Rob's roster of celebrity clients including Olly Murs and Emma Willis.

In October, Paloma made the exciting announcement on Instagram that she was 18 weeks pregnant with her first child with Stevie.

She captioned her post: 'Plot twist, mother is mothering (again) #morethangeriatricpregnancy #oappregnancy #oapmilf #18weekspregnant.'

The star welcomed a daughter with ex Leyman Lahcine, from whom she split in 2023 after nine years, in December 2016 and a second baby girl in February 2021.

Paloma has been incredibly open about the heartbreaking fertility struggles she has faced over the years, after conceiving both her children through IVF.

Before welcoming her two children, Paloma went through six rounds of IVF treatment, during which she suffered an ectopic pregnancy and a devastating miscarriage.

During the birth of her first child, following a successful second round of IVF, Paloma endured a horrific labour.

The artist had an emergency C-section which later led to fertility problems and post-partum psychosis, she revealed.

Paloma shed light on her difficult births on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast last year, as she said: 'The birth was really difficult. It was actually unbearable...

'It started with PROMS (Premature Rupture of Membranes) - You’re, sort of, in labour and that was only at six months pregnant, I think, and they were like You’re going to have to induce, you’re going to have a premature baby...

'I was really defiant I was going to have that, so I was just in bed rest and downing four litres of water a day for a month to replenish the lost waters.'

On the traumatic time and her severe lack of sleep, she said: 'After 21 hours in labour and no sleep for a week. I had seven hours of sleep in seven days...

'I had an emergency cesarean which later on caused me fertility problems as well, and then a bit of post-partum psychosis because of lack of sleep so I was, like, hallucinating. Probably depressed for a couple of years without realising...

'Later I wanted a second child and then I had three failed transfers. The fourth one worked and I was just so, kind of, headstrong about it.'

Paloma also spoke of the time she suffered a miscarriage on the set of 2019 Pennyworth, in which she played sociopath Bet Sykes.

She explained that while filming a fight scene, she realised she was miscarrying but insisted on carrying on with filming for fear of losing her job, saying: 'I would just be going home without work and without a viable pregnancy.'
