The Butchers Of LA: Trailer, certificate and where to watch
How three serial killers operated independently in one area of America
Certificate: 15
One serial killer is bad enough, but this true-crime docuseries follows three sadistic murderers, all working independently and targeting young men and boys in one area, around the freeways of Los Angeles from the early 1970s to the 1980s.
We begin with the gruesome discoveries of a number of bodies, the methods of torture, rape, murder and disposal, forming a pattern that links them together. Police close in on their first suspect, yet with him behind bars, the murders do not stop and, worse than that, it's clear there are still multiple killers at large.
The body count for this collective of killers would climb to triple figures, with disturbing details of scorecards kept and one with a torture chambers on wheels. Grimly compelling, with crime-scene photos and graphic detail, this series is definitely not for the faint-hearted. (Three episodes)
