Sirens (2025 series): Trailer, certificate and where to watch
Dark comedy starring Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock and Julianne Moore
Year: 2025
Certificate: 15
Lavish houses, a twisting plot and a cracking cast - all good reasons to tune into Netflix's five-part thriller about two very different sisters, which stars the superb Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus) and Milly Alcock (House Of The Dragon) as siblings Devon and Simone, alongside Julianne Moore as Michaela, Simone's unusually demanding employer.
The story opens as hot mess Devon travels to the island compound where perfect Simone works for Michaela, to figure out exactly what's going on with the sister she used to know so well - and her visit just happens to coincide with one very high-pressure weekend. The less said about the plot beyond that the better, including why it's called Sirens - it's one of those shows that's best discovered first hand but, trust us, it's worth taking the plunge.
Adapted by Molly Smith Metzler from her play Elemeno Pea, this is a wonderfully unpredictable ride powered by sharp writing and a great central trio of performers at the top of their game. It's a lot of fun seeing what lurks beneath the surface of every character as the story unfolds, and there are lot of laughs to be had along the way, too, particularly from Fahy. (Five episodes)
