If you only know Paul Sinha from The Chase, prepare to be dazzled by the stand-up skills of 'The Sinnerman' in his 2017 Edinburgh show, Shout Out To My Ex. Despite its title, Sinha says the content has 'nothing to do with the music of Little Mix' - but more to do with the ex who had a big impact on his life.
We won't spoil exactly how but, suffice to say, the qualified GP was leading a fulfilled work and personal life as one half of a proper, grown-up relationship and even considering doing the unthinkable - taking a show about being happy to Edinburgh - when the bombshell suddenly dropped.
The resulting punchline-packed show is a mix of happy and sad, delivered in matter-of-fact fashion by a performer with no qualms about telling it straight. And the subject matter should certainly be relatable to anyone who's spent time wondering when the other shoe in life was about to drop. (65 minutes)
