Two intruder couples entered the Married At First Sight experiment on Monday, and things got off to a rocky start for 'anti-woke' couple Tyson and Stephanie.

Former soldier Tyson Gordon, 30, tied the knot with real estate agent Stephanie Marshall, 32, and the red flags were quickly raised on both sides.

Before the ceremony, Tyson revealed his very forthright and unwavering beliefs, revealing he had absolutely no time for 'woke culture.'

Speaking about his perfect match, Tyson told producers: 'I want to make sure she has the same beliefs, the same values, the same morals and principles as me.

'I wouldn't want a woman that's woke with green hair and super overweight. I'm not into that,' he added.

The property investor also said that he would not be happy if paired with a feminist or a bride who 'hates' US President Donald Trump.

His laundry list of turn-offs also included women with high body counts and women with children as he is: 'not here to look after someone's kids.'

Tyson also revealed that he had been married before, to a woman whom he had met in Utah. However, that union only lasted around a year.

He admitted that the couple split because his first wife was 'a bit messy around the house.'

It seemed that this could be a perfect pairing, with Stephanie revealing that she was definitely looking for a take-charge kind of guy.

Then it was time for the ceremony, which was attended by fellow MAFS couples Julia and Grayson, Rachel and Steven, and Alissa and David.

Things didn't get off to a good start with Tyson getting 'woke' vibes from Stephanie as she walked down the aisle.

'When you look at someone you can sort of tell,' he said.

Tyson's fears were soon allayed when he told Rebecca that he had no time for woke culture. His new bride replied with a relieved: 'Thank God.'

Still not placated, Tyson then took umbrage with the fact that he was paired with an older woman.

'I asked for someone younger,' he said.  'The fact she's 32, I'm not too happy about that. I was hoping to get a wife in her mid-20s.'

He was also less than impressed with Stephanie's vows, complaining that she displayed too much masculine energy and not enough 'submissiveness.'

Things went from bad to worse at the reception when Stephanie brought up an earlier conversation in which Tyson revealed he wanted five children.

Addressing a bridesmaid, she said: 'Apparently we're having five children, before addressing Tyson with: 'I don't know who you're having those five kids with.'

When the bridesmaid questioned Tyson on how children would fit into their busy schedules, he replied flatly: 'Get a maid'.

He also revealed to Stephanie that he thought child-rearing was no big deal.

'Honestly, how hard can it be? It's only this big,' he said, holding out his arms.

Speaking to producers, Stephanie said that she was shocked by Tyson's stance

Speaking to producers, Stephanie said that she was shocked by Tyson's stance

'You've just got to feed it, take it to the toilet, and that's it.'

This seemed to impress Tyson's best man, who added: 'You'll be a great dad,' as Stephanie shook her head.

When Stephanie asked Tyson if he would consider taking on the house husband role, it was a hard: 'Hell, no.'

'You may as well ask me to wear a skirt around the house,' he said.

Speaking to producers, Stephanie said that she was shocked by Tyson's stance on parenting.

'I'm not some ultra feminist woman, but I do believe in equality,' she said.

'I'm quite surprised that someone like him has these views, it's giving manosphere.'

During some one-on-one time, Tyson reiterated his desire to never be a stay-at-home dad, adding that he was concerned by Stephanie's 'masculine energy'.

'Does the masculine energy make me unattractive to you?' she asked.

He replied: 'A little bit. I think there's nothing better than a woman that's submissive.'

This did not sit well with Stephanie, who told producers: 'We don't live in the bloody 1960s anymore.'

Married At First Sight continues at 7:30pm Tuesday on Nine.
