Jimmy Carr stepped back in time for his new Downton Abbey spoof, donning a moustache and priest robes for his role in Fackham Hall.
The comedian, 54, who wrote the upcoming period drama, will play the Vicar in a film that's been pitched as 'if Downton Abbey and Airplane! had a love child born with a silver spoon up its a**e.'
The film's synopsis reads: 'A new porter forms an odd bond with the youngest daughter of a well-known UK family.
'As the Davenport family, headed by Lord and Lady Davenport, deals with the epic disaster of the wedding of their eldest daughter to her caddish cousin.'
Like Downton Abbey, the film centres around an aristocratic family in 1930s England, but when a fox and a deer fall from the sky in its trailer's opening scene, it's clear that it turns the Downton genre on its head.
The hilarious trailer continues by introducing viewers to the Davenport family, who reveal that their daughter is to be married after she 'finally found the right cousin' 'after years of courting.'

Following the release of the film's trailer, fans were quick to express their excitement for the film - admitting that a silly, comedic film is exactly what the UK needs right now.
They praised: 'Even if the film isn’t as good as the trailer, gosh, what a fantastic trailer.';
'This is exactly what we need right now. Silly, slapstick, double entendre, laugh out loud, pee your pants, old fashioned comedy film. I cannot wait. Perfect. Bring us more please.';
'This trailer is a masterclass in suspense and style. My hype levels have officially maxed out.';
'The trailer alone is the most amusing thing that has been put on to film (or a micro SD card) for about 15 years.';
'I shall adjust my dress and polish my moustache as I queue for my ticket.'
Jimmy Carr said of the film, which was originally meant to be released at the summer: 'The British film industry does two things very well: period drama and comedy.
'We didn't have time to write two movies, so we've had to mash the genres together. I'm just slightly worried that if you say Fackham Hall in a posh English accent, it might be misconstrued.'

Giving the film four out of five stars, Michael Clark of the Epoch Times wrote: 'If for no other reason, the movie succeeds on sheer volumes of humour.'
Elaina Patton of IndieWire was equally complimentary, adding: 'Fackham Hall delivers just over an hour and a half of nonstop gags in the form of puns, wordplay, bodily humour, and slapstick stunts. And yet, it also somehow finds time for a dizzying amount of story.'
Fackham Hall, which is being released by Entertainment Film Distributors, will be available to watch in several UK cinemas including Odeon and Everyman from December 12.
