Netflix fans rave over 'binge-worthy masterpiece' romcom as it returns to screens for new series - and you only have DAYS to catch up

Netflix fans are obsessed with a new 'binge-worthy' romcom ahead of its return to screens for a new series, but you only have a few days to catch up.

The romantic drama appeared in 2023 for a popular opening season, which was divided into 10 half-hour long episodes and based on the film trilogy To All the Boys I've Loved Before.

Subscribers of the streaming service have been hooked by XO, Kitty two years on from its initial run and shortly before new plotlines unfold in a fresh series this month.

The comedy show tracked Kitty as she reunited with her long-distance boyfriend Dae at the same boarding school her late mother had gone to.

The matchmaking teenager thought she knew everything there was to know about love but the move halfway across the world revealed she was severely mistaken.

The series starred Anna Cathcart as Kitty and Minyeong Choi as Dae and also featured appearances from Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Anthony Keyvan and Peter Thurnwald.

One viewer took to Rotten Tomatoes to say: 'Finally! A fresh new show that makes you put your phone down and focus on the beautifully written masterpiece that they have created. It's binge worthy as I couldn't get enough of it.'

Another posted: 'I held off watching this because I thought I would not like it. However, the drama pulled me in and I quickly finished it. I am not sure who I want Kitty to end up with because none of the options are really 'perfect' for her.'

A third user added: 'Cute, addicting, and beautifully shot!'

Another hooked viewer said: 'A great continuation for anyone who loves the To All the Boys movies. Very well made, great surprises and good casting. Cannot wait for another season.'

The new season will offer fans 10 new episodes and explore the progress of Kitty's relationships during a new semester at the Korean Independent School of Seoul.

The main character is set to be 'single for the first time in a long time and ready for a fresh start: no more meddling, no more drama but maybe some casual dating' but this is derailed when she receives a letter from her mother's past.

Lara Jean's boyfriend Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) will also make a comeback for the second series.

Showrunner Jessica O'Toole told Netflix: 'This season of XO, Kitty is all about where Kitty is going but also where she came from. And the opportunity to include Peter Kavinsky in that journey was so exciting.

'I can't wait for the fans to see Peter interact with some of their favourite XO, Kitty characters and to see all of the other juicy surprises we have in store … including some big moments fans have been waiting for and others they will never see coming.'
