Former Celebrity MasterChef winner and EastEnders star Lisa Faulkner made a surprise cameo in Harlan Coben's new thriller Missing You on New Year's Day

The five-part series follows Missing Persons detective Kat Donovan (Rosalind Eleazar) who is shocked to see her ex-fiancé Josh (Ashley Walters) on a dating app 11 years after he disappeared from her life without a trace.

The six-part series already has a stellar cast joining lead actress Rosalind, with Ashley Walters as missing fiancé Josh, as well as Steve Pemberton, Richard Armitage, James Nesbitt and Jessica Plummer.

However, the actress, 52, who is married to MasterChef host John Torode, 59, made an unexpected guest appearance on Wednesday as Dana Fells, the missing mother of Brendan Fells (Oscar Kennedy).

Brendan tells Kat that his mother Dana left for a trip to Costa Rica with her boyfriend, and he hasn't heard from her since.

He later reveals that the man his mother is on a trip with is her ex-fiancé Josh, and says that the couple met on a dating app - the same app that Kat previously saw him on.
