Man United 'looking to tie exciting youngster Alejandro Garnacho down to a club record EIGHT-year contract' following his impressive performances this season... but the Argentinian 'has reservations and WON'T sign for longer than four years'
- Talks have been going on between the parties for around seven months in total
- The length of contract is important to United but it seems Garnacho won't agree
- He has impressed for the United first team this season under boss Erik ten Hag
Manchester United are looking to secure a deal with Alejandro Garnacho that would see the youngster handed the longest ever contract signed by a player at the club, according to a report.
The 18-year-old has burst onto the scene at Old Trafford, securing regular first team minutes in Erik ten Hag's team and impressing in a team pushing for the Premier League title.
According to The Sun, United want to tie Garnacho down to an eight-year deal, but the player has reservations about putting pen to paper on a contract so long.

Garnacho has impressed in his appearances for the first team and could sign a deal over eight years in length
Sportsmail understands that talks are progressing positively between all parties but an agreement is still some way off. The club have been trying to secure new terms after the Youth Cup win in May last year, with terms still not agreed.
The Argentina youth international is said to be wanted by both Real Madrid and former club Atletico Madrid, and a deal could see a buy-out clause included in his contract, common in several parts of Europe.
It is thought that those close to Garnacho don't want him to sign a contract longer than four-and-a-half years, but United aren't said to be worried about losing the teenager.
The teenager recently set up Marcus Rashford's winner in the Manchester derby
Garnacho made his debut for United in April 2022, coming on as a late substitute against Chelsea.
He has made 18 appearances for the United first team, and recently set up Marcus Rashford's winner against rivals Manchester City earlier this month.
He's scored one Premier League goal for the club, against Fulham earlier this season, and also netted against Real Sociedad in the Europa League.
