The hitmaker said: 'No specific cap. It just depends on, you know, who I vibe with and who vibes with me.'

The interviewer then said, 'Okay, so no cap to it. Many maybe?' to which the star responded with a shrug and, 'I mean, as many as you can afford.'

The conversation then switched to fellow music artist Omarion and how he has been celibate for three years.

When asked if celibacy would be an option for him, Ne-Yo said, 'I'm certain that was a spiritual decision, you know what I'm saying.

Illegal? Surely not: Ne-Yo discussed the legality surrounding polygamy

Earlier this year, he was seen holding hands with two women.

Asked to share his thoughts on polygamy being legalized, he said: 'Legalizing polygamy? I didn't know it was illegal.

'You should let people do whatever the hell they want to do. Can't see how it's hurting anybody.

'To be honest, I don't need the government to tell me what I can and can't do in my personal life.'

He was asked whether being in a polyamorous relationship could influence his music.

The star explained: 'I mean the songs come out depending on the situation and the circumstance.

'I don't force it when it comes to music, it happens organically.'

As the interview came to an end, he said of polygamy: 'I don't recommend anything to anybody - what works for me might not work for you, or vice-versa.'
