A masked gang raided a pawnbrokers for gold after smashing into the store with a car during a daring daylight robbery.
Masked thieves ploughed a Peugeot 207 into the glass window of H&T Pawnbrokers on Soho Road, Birmingham, and looted the display before making a getaway.
Footage, filmed by an onlooker, showed the motor repeatedly reversing into the front of the shop at around 12:30pm on April 15.
Two men were then seen smashing in the windows, filling their bags with stolen goods and placing them in the car.
At the same time, smoke appeared to be pouring out of the shop as members of the public watched on in horror.
The gang drove off shortly afterwards, with one of the masked raiders seemingly left behind by the car while continuing to fill their bag.
A nearby shop owner claimed one of the men was detained by onlookers, adding that officers arrived around 15 minutes later.
West Midlands Police have launched an investigation into the theft and have appealed for witnesses and dash cam footage of the incident.
