Gruesome find in a charity bin sparks urgent police investigation

The body of a 37-year-old man has been found inside a charity bin. 

The discovery was made in a loading dock in a car park on Buckland Road in Nundah, in Brisbane's north, around 3.30am on Tuesday.

The man was declared dead at the scene. 

Queensland Police said the death was being treated as non-suspicious. 

'Initial investigations indicate the death is non-suspicious however police will await the results of a post-mortem to determine the cause of death,' a statement read. 

A report will be prepared for the coroner. 

It's understood the man's body was found near a loading dock used by Woolworths. 

A spokesperson for the supermarket giant told Daily Mail: 'Our thoughts are with the individual's family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.'

Woolworths is offering counselling and support services to team members following the incident.
